NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at 6:00 p.m., the City Council of the City Ferndale will hold a public hearing and introduce an Ordinance to amend Section 6.05 “Design Control Combining or -D Zone” of the Ferndale Zoning Ordinance. The public hearing will be held at 834 Main Street, Ferndale, California.
The Ordinance will amend the review and approval procedures for a design review permit as currently specified in the Design Control Combining or -D Zone. In particular, the Ordinance proposes the elimination of the Design Review Committee and to, instead, task the Planning Commission with design review approval. The draft Ordinance is available at City Hall during posted hours at 834 Main Street, Ferndale, and online at http://ci.ferndale.ca.us/. All interested persons will be given an opportunity to speak at the public hearing.
The draft Ordinance is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to the CEQA Guidelines Section 15061(b)(3) the General Rule or Common Sense Exemption. Since no development or other physical change to the environment would be approved by amending the Design Review Procedures, it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the adoption of the proposed Ordinance to amend the City’s Zoning regulations may have a significant effect on the environment in the City of Ferndale.
