Coastal Commission Meeting – Centerville Beach Motorized Access

The City of Ferndale encourages residents and community members to attend the upcoming California Coastal Commission meeting regarding the proposed Centerville Road Reconstruction Project.

As a condition of approving the project, Coastal Commission staff are recommending that Humboldt County prohibit motorized vehicle access to Centerville Beach. Motorized access to this area has been a long-standing part of our local community and provides access for fishing, recreation, hunting, and other traditional uses of the beach.

Community members who have concerns about the potential loss of motorized beach access are encouraged to attend the meeting and make their voices heard.
