The Drainage Committee has general oversight of drainage issues. Duties include but are not limited to:
- developing a system of reports to the council
- general supervisorial responsibilities regarding any budget items related to the function
- serving as liaison for citizens who may have complaints, or suggestions for functions, or programs
The Drainage Committee meets monthly on the first Thursday at 2:30 pm at Ferndale City Hall.

A Drainage Master Plan has been accepted by the City Council. This plan will guide drainage expenditures for the next ten years.
