The City of Ferndale is offering up to $300 towards the purchase of backyard composting and vermiculture systems. If you are a resident of the City of Ferndale and would like to compost or vermicompost in your backyard, we encourage you to participate.

How to receive your composting or vermiculture system (up to a $300 value):

1. Contact the City of Ferndale to obtain a City-approved compost bin
or worm bin.
2. Complete the Program Request Form and provide proof of Ferndale residency (such as a
utility bill). Do not leave any fields blank.
3. Once your request is approved, the City will purchase the requested equipment on your
behalf.
4. Pick up your bin and start composting at home!
