  • CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING 10/27/2025

    The Ferndale City Council will hold a special meeting on Monday, October 27, 2025, beginning at 3:15pm at Ferndale City Hall, 834 Main Street, Ferndale. This is an in person meeting. Those wishing to comment of ask questions should plan on attending. Comments on agenda items may be submitted to the City Clerk by 12:00pm on the date of the scheduled meeting. Comments will be forwarded to the City Council prior to the meeting Special City Council meetings are recorded (Not during the Closed Session agenda items) and a video of the meeting is available by request. Videos are downloaded to dropbox and a link to the video can be requested. A USB drive or Compact Disc is also available for a fee. Videos are generally available by the Monday following the meeting. The agenda and packet can be viewed and downloaded by clicking the link below and scrolling down to the packets section. You may also contact City Hall and have the packet emailed.   • RUSS PARK NEW TRAILHEAD RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY 10/21/2025

    There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony for Russ Park’s new trailhead opening on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at 3:00pm. The ceremony will take place at the Eugene Street entrance at the new “Berry Run” trail. Anyone is welcome to attend this ceremony. Parking is limited so please carpool if possible. Also, please watch for pedestrian traffic.

  • MAIN STREET ROAD CLOSURE FOR FILMING

    PLEASE BE ADVISED…due to filming activity on the 300 block of Main Street (Brown Street to Ocean Ave) is scheduled to be closed during the following dates and times: Monday, October 13, 2025 12:30pm-12:30am Wednesday, October 15, 2025 3:00pm – 12:30am Thursday, October 16, 2025 6:00pm – 6:00am Monday, October 20, 2025 5:30pm – 4:00am Tuesday, October 21, 2025 5:30pm – 5:30am Ocean Ave at Main Street will be closed during takes. Most filming is due to take place at night. There should be no loud noises (ie explosions, screaming, yelling), however, there will be some disruption. If there is excessive noise please contact City Hall, as well as Dark Light Productions to express concerns. They can be reached directly at (707)532-4910 or by email at darklightpo@tabooma.com.

    About CARE The California Alternate Rates for Energy (CARE) program is a monthly discount of 20 percent or more on gas and electricity. See if you qualify based on: Your income, or Your enrollment in one of the qualifying public assistance programs important notice Note: CARE and FERA share one application. If you’re a sub-metered tenant, you must have the landlord’s energy bill in your name. You must live at the address to which the discount applies. Another person (besides your spouse) can’t claim you as a dependent on an income tax return. You must not share an energy meter with another home. You must account for all sources of qualifying household income. This combined household income must meet the program income guidelines. You must enroll in qualifying public assistance programs. After you enroll, you may need to provide proof of qualifying household income. You may also be required to participate in the Energy Savings Assistance program. Your monthly electric usage must not exceed six times the Tier 1 allowance. Tier 1 is the lowest priced rate tier within PG&E’s standard Tiered Base Plan. You must renew your eligibility every two years. If you’re on a fixed income, you must renew your eligibility every four years. You must notify PG&E if your household no longer qualifies for the CARE discount.   • ARCHITECTURAL TOURS

    Taste & Stroll is an architectural and historical walking and tasting tour of Ferndale. Starting at the museum, tours will wind their way through downtown, led by a knowledgeable guide, with stops at selected locations for handpicked drinks and appetizers. This tour is perfect for lovers of architecture, history, and elevated tastings. This year’s tours (2025) will start at 1:30 p.m. at the Ferndale Museum on Sept. 13, 20, and 27, and Oct. 4. Ages 21 and over only. This is a fundraiser for the Ferndale Museum.
