The City of Ferndale would like to clarify that the current Shelter in Place order initiated by the Humboldt County Health Officer on March 30, 2020 is still in effect. The City Council held a special meeting on Thursday, April 30, 2020 and voiced their recommendation to the Humboldt County OES on which businesses they would like to see start opening. This was only a recommendation. The city is currently awaiting for the County Health Officer and Board of Supervisors to initiate guidelines and ease restrictions at this time.
